First blog, of many to come!

So this is my first blog, and probably should of started it earlier than a few months prior to graduation, but I'd say my life only started getting interesting lately...

I've been inspired by the fact that I am in my third week out of four, on work experience as a journalist, and am starting to actually feel a little professional! I'm in my third and final year as a journalism student at Liverpool John Moores University, and am scared/excited/scared about what my future actually holds.

I've just completed 2 weeks work experience at Tonight, for ITV in Manchester, which was amazing! Highlights including seeing all the Corrie actors in the canteen at lunch and blagging my way into The Jeremy Kyle audience.

Currently I'm into my second day at The Crewe Chronicle, where I was sent straight to report on the Magistrates court after being here 5 minutes yesterday. It's fair to say I was slightly bewildered by the Editor sending me straight on my way, bearing in mind I have only been to court once, seeing as I specialise in broadcast journalism. But I grasped the opportunity with both hands, and persevered waiting around for 5 hours to see when an unemployed, half-cut football hooligan was going to have his case heard. But my efforts paid off, and these are the fruits of my labour...

I'm slightly overwhelmed by all the things I want to blog, so rather than splurge all my thoughts into one big dull monstasity now, I'll write seperate blogs.

Over and out.
